1.

How often do you need to paint and exterior of a home?

Most paint manufactures suggest every 5 years. After that amount of time

the wood swells and surfaces on your home become split and possibly rotten.

So it is best to have a professional review and analyze the exterior surfaces.

2.

Should  oil or latex primer be used on you homes exterior?

Oil base primer is the best. It penetrates and seals the wood so paint can protect the surfaces as it should!

3.

Whats the best way to remove wallpaper?

Try a roller tray filled with hot water. Remember to protect the floor with absorbent drop clothes.

You may need to score with the edge of a saw blade or a tiger roller so the water can penetrate.

Continue to repeatedly soak the paper so it comes losse off the wall.

Use  a solution purchased at the paint store to add in removing difficult papers.

Do not damage the sheetrock surface.

This can cause more trouble than the wallpaper removal.

1.

Should wood to be installed on the homes interior be stored inside?

Yes - atleast 2-4 days ahead of the installation day so the moisture content of the wood matches the homes environment.

Otherwise there can be swelling or shrinkage resulting in a poor fit.
